Ajang penghargaan bergengsi Piala Oscar kembali digelar tahun ini. Acara paling bergengsi di industri perfilman dunia ini rencanyakan akan digelar pada 9 Februari nanti di Hollywood, Amerika Serikat.

Dari banyaknya film yang rilis di tahun 2020 ini, ternyata film Joker berhasil mendominasi nominasi Piala Oscar dengan memboyong 11 nominasi. Sang "Joker", Joaquin Phoenix, juga berhasil masuk dalam nominasi "Lead Actors".
